  • Question: How do I clean the vinyl on my vinyl windows?

How do I clean the vinyl on my windows?
Answer: Clean your vinyl windows gently with mild detergent.
    • Wash using mild detergent and a soft cloth or soft bristle brush. Be as gentle as possible when cleaning your windows, keeping in mind that any extreme pressure could compromise caulking or sealants.
    • For difficult to remove dirt and stains use readily available household cleaners. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions on use of the cleaners.
    • DO NOT clean the windows or doors with a high-pressure washer. The extreme spray pressure could crack or destroy the caulking around the window or door.
    • DO NOT USE liquid grease remover, strong soaps or detergents containing organic solvents, nail polish remover, furniture polish or cleaners containing chlorine bleach. These items could affect the surface appearance of the vinyl.

Answer: Clean the glass in your windows and doors with a homemade solution and gentle touch.
    • For routine glass cleaning, we recommend using a mixture of 30% white vinegar and 70% water. Use a soft, lint-free cloth or paper towels to wipe clean. Rub solution in varying directions to reduce streaks.
