On Aug. 8 more than 7,000 riders from across Central Ohio will ride for one common goal – to end cancer.
Founded in 2008 in Columbus, Pelotonia is a grassroots bike journey that aims to raise money to fund cancer research. The journey is a three-day event filled with cycling, entertainment, and opportunities to volunteer. Throughout the past seven years, Pelotonia has raised almost 90 million for The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center, with 100 percent of every dollar raised going directly to research in Columbus. Last year, Pelotonia raised a record $21 million for cancer research, and this year the bar is set even higher.
Simonton Windows and Doors is supporting Pelotonia for its fourth year in row. The company is extremely proud to have a number of its associates involved, including 31 riders, 5 virtual riders, 6 volunteers, and countless others who have donated to the cause. And with a month still to go Simonton has already raised more than $29,000!
