Mother’s Day is just a few days away, and if you have no clue what to get her, we have a few ideas that could help.
This one is easy. If you have little ones running around the house, give mom the gift of peace and quiet. Take the kids to the playground, and let her spend a few hours alone with nothing to do except read her favorite book or take a bath…or maybe she just wants to chill on the couch and do absolutely nothing except watch TV or shop online.
Yes. Put away dishes. Vacuum. Clean the windows. And if you really want to show how much you care, attack the bathroom.
Some might say it’s cliche, but there is nothing wrong with being pampered. Cook her favorite food and serve it to her while she’s nestled in bed.
4. Spa Day
Many day spas will run special offers around Mother’s Day. You can buy her a gift card and let her decide when she wants to luxuriate for the day. Or you can surprise her on Mother’s Day by booking her appointment in advance. If this is something you’re interested in, book early! As you can imagine, these spots fill up fast.
Dust off that copy of The Notebook and spend the evening watching DVD’s. Or take her to the movies. Recently released chick flicks include: The Age of Adaline, Far from the Maddening Crowd, Welcome to Me and Hot Pursuit. (If she’s not into chick flicks, and loves action adventure, you might want to wait a few days. Mad Max is released in theaters May 15th!)
