There are many ways to hang wreaths from your windows. But, if you have vinyl windows, you want to be a little more careful. Unlike with wood windows, you can’t pin or poke holes in vinyl windows because you’ll ruin the integrity of the window frame. So, we did some research and found the simplest way for you to hang wreaths from your vinyl windows without the possibility of ruining your windows.
How to Hang Wreaths from Vinyl Windows
Step 1 – Make sure your wreaths are looking good.
Step 2 – Separate some branches on your wreath to make space for your ribbon.
Step 3 – Measure your window so you know how long your ribbon should be.
Step 4 – Tie the ribbon around the wreath and make a loose knot.
Step 5 – Remove your window screens.
Step 6 – If you have single or double hung windows, tilt in your window using the latches at the top of the sash.
Step 7 – With the sash tilted in slide the wreath over the outside of the window.
Step 8 – Put the window sash back in place with the knot you tied hanging on the inside of your home. This knot will help keep the wreath in place.
And that’s it! A no muss, no fuss way to hang wreaths from vinyl windows.
