Retrofit Sliding Patio Door
Introduced by Simonton Windows

PARKERSBURG, W. VA. – Simonton Windows® one of the nation’s leading manufacturers of vinyl windows and patio doors, has introduced a PD08 retrofit sliding patio door featuring enhanced design flexibility. Available in seven sizes, the vinyl patio door includes a sculpted exterior on the sash and frame, matching picture frames for sidelites and transoms, and a one-inch thick insulating glass unit (I.G. unit) with an Intercept® spacer system.

“Construction of this new sliding patio door is exceptionally durable,” according to Christopher Burk, product manager for Simonton Windows®. “There is a .080 wall thickness on the frame and sash, double weather stripping on the unit and heavy-duty corrosion resistant steel rollers. The sash is welded and controls a multi-point locking system. There’s a standard heavy-duty, extruded aluminum sliding screen that comes with the door or an optional hide away screen available. And, the sliding patio door includes a 6-9/16 jamb extension, surround flange and dry wall clip.”

Simonton’s newest vinyl retrofit sliding patio door comes in white or tan. Glass options for the door include clear, ProSolarTM, bronze, gray and obscure glasses. Colonial and Prairie grids may be ordered in a variety of styles.

The PD08 retrofit sliding patio door comes in seven standard sizes, including 5068, 6068, 8068, 9068, 12068, 6080 and 9080. Custom sizes may be ordered. The doors also feature a mechanical knock down frame and an assembly option.
