Simonton Launches New Factory-Assembled Replacement Patio Door

PARKERSBURG, W.VA. – Simonton Windows, a leading manufacturer of top-quality windows and patio doors has modified the design of its successful new construction patio door for the replacement market. Popular in new construction projects because the door has a larger glass-to-vinyl ratio for larger views, Simonton’s new Reflections 5300 and Prism Ultra Gold replacement patio doors come factory-assembled to save time on the job site and feature field-reversible, block and J-channel frame options.

“Our new Reflections 5300 and Prism Ultra Gold replacement patio door is ideal for a variety of replacement applications and it meets the performance criteria for the federal energy tax credit,” says Rebecca Taylor, product manager with Simonton Windows.

Simonton’s new replacement patio door comes with many enviable standard features, including a Low E/Argon glass package; four sizes (5068, 6068, 6080 and 8068); white, tan or driftwood frames colors; a 3/4-inch insulating glass unit and a lifetime limited warranty.

For faster and easier installation, the patio door has two popular field-reversible frame options, including block frame and Florida flange (J-channel). A DP50 option on 5068 and 6068 sizes is also available.

A multi-point locking system, footbolt and stainless steel rollers are also available options. Additionally, hardware finishes come in polished brass, antique brass, brushed chrome and mineral bronze. Flat or sculptured grids can be ordered in a variety of styles; and optional LoĒ3-366® glass, Super Spacer®, tempered, tinted (in bronze or grey) and tempered obscure glass.

The doors can be ordered with pre-mulled transoms and matching sidelites are available. The sightline on the sidelites also match the door.

“We anticipate that our new replacement patio door will be extremely popular with remodelers and contractors,” says Taylor. “This door has already proven itself in new construction applications; and we believe it will be a welcome addition to our line of remodeling and replacement products.”
