New Line from Simonton Windows Features All ENERGY STAR Qualified Windows
PARKERSBURG, W. VA. – Consumers looking to construct an energy efficient house should pay special attention to the windows they select in order to control energy costs during the life of the home. That’s the advice of Christopher Burk, product manager at Simonton Windows®.
“One of the biggest potential areas of heat loss or gain in a house is the windows,” says Burk. “You’re really talking about holes in your home filled with glass. It makes the most sense to fill those holes with windows that will benefit you and your family over many years. The new Simonton ProFinish® Brickmould 600 windows can help lower energy bills while giving a stylish look to the home.”
The Brickmould 600 line of new construction windows are all ENERGY STAR® qualified and come standard with Low E/Argon glass packages and 7/8” Insulating Glass Units (I.G. units) for maximum energy efficiency. Optional PVC grids in Colonial, Prairie and Perimeter styles create Simulated Divided Lites on the windows. With the exception of the Geometric styles, all windows can also be ordered with 3-1/2” Flat Casing Trim installed at the factory at a 90-degree joint at the head to simulate traditional wood trim.
“Brickmould 600 has many appealing special features for homeowners,” says Burk. “Tops on the list is gaining all the low maintenance convenience of vinyl windows with the look of wood windows. Other features include the availability of Double Hung and 2-lite Slider styles, light and dark interior woodgrain laminates ordered in combination with white exteriors, and the availability of our new driftwood color vinyl frame on all products in the series.”
Additional features of the Simonton ProFinish Brickmould 600 series include:
- Full screens standard with every window
- Wide selection of styles, such as Geometrics, Picture, Awning, Casement, 3-lite Slider, 2-lite Slider and Double Hung
- Availability with white or driftwood vinyl frames
- Unique warranty is lifetime to the original owner and transferable once, turning it into a 20-year warranty. Glass in the windows is prorated in the warranty; first 20 years fully replaceable at 100 percent, 21 to 50 years replaceable at 75 percent and after 51 years replaceable at 50 percent.
“The Simonton ProFinish Brickmould 600 series was designed with the homeowner in mind,” says Burk. “From the extensive warranty to the many standard features that would normally be ordered as upgrade items, this new window series should be a ‘must have’ for homeowners building a new home.”
