Simonton Launches Supercept™ Spacer System
PARKERSBURG, WV--Simonton Windows®, a leader in the window and door industry, has launched the new Supercept™ spacer system for its customers. Supercept is a revolutionary stainless alloy spacer system that was proven to rival the thermal performance of a foam spacer in independent testing conducted by Architectural Testing, Inc. (ATI).
“Supercept allows us to provide our customers with increased thermal performance, across a broader range of products, and has the same strength and rigidity as the standard Intercept® spacer system,” says Simonton Product Manager Christopher Burk.
Simonton’s Supercept spacer system is currently available on Simonton ProFinish® (Master, Contractor and Builder) and ProFinish® Brickmould 300 and 600; Simonton Reflections® 5300 and 5050; and Prism® by Simonton (Bronze and Ultra Gold) product lines.
“Our new advanced Supercept spacer has been designed to guard against seal failure, which often results in expensive callbacks,” says Burk. “Customers can provide this upgrade with confidence that it will perform to Simonton’s industry-leading quality standards.”
Supercept™ has a patented U-shaped construction that flexes with changes in temperature, resulting in increased seal life, greater durability and longevity. It also features a one-piece, flexible design and patented web corner system that greatly reduces sealant stress. This system also provides maximum protection against Argon gas leakage, delivering greater long-term insulating performance, helping to lower energy bills and provide lasting comfort.
